SwaVid Learning Journey · Classes 6–10

See every chapter. Do one step.

Every chapter of the class is on one map. Each day, SwaVid picks one step — the map below is Class 8 Maths, exactly as it looks partway through the term.

Today's step: Linear Equations in One Variable

This chapter needs “Introduction to Variables” from Class 6 Algebra. Before the new work, the lesson checks that idea with a few questions — for example, what x stands for in 3x + 5 = 20.

How today's step is chosen

Find the step. Check what it needs. Tick it off.

The order is not fixed in advance — it is worked out fresh from what your child answered last.

  1. 01

An old gap comes first, if there is one

If nothing needs fixing, the next pick is a weak idea earlier in this same class's plan. Only then does the next chapter in sequence open.

  2. 02

The lesson checks what it needs, first

For “Linear Equations in One Variable”, that is a quick check on Class 6 variables. Weak? It is taught right there, inside the same lesson — about 20 minutes in total.

  3. 03

    Three questions, then a tick

The lesson ends with three questions on the chapter. The step gets a tick and the next one opens. A tick can come back later for a quick recheck if it looks due.

What changes for your child

No more “which chapter first?”

A Maths textbook has more than a dozen chapters. A child does not know where to start, or what they missed. The map answers both.

The whole class, one screen

Every chapter of the class is on the map, not a shortened version of it. Ticks show what is done.

Whole syllabus visible

One thing to open, not a list

The day names one step, for example “Solving 3x + 5 = 20”. That lesson runs about 20 minutes.

One thing to do

Old gaps fixed where they bite

A weak Class 6 idea gets caught and taught inside the Class 8 lesson that needs it — not by redoing a whole year.

Fixed inside the lesson

What you see

Which chapters are solid.

Your parent view has its own chapter map, built from what your child actually answered.

  • One score per subject, one per chapter — Solid, Shaky, Needs work, or Not started.
  • Every idea inside a chapter, with the earlier idea it needs shown first, even from an earlier class.
  • When each chapter was last worked on.

What it will not do

A tick is not forever.

The map stays honest about what it knows. Three limits, plainly:

  • It will not skip a chapter the board will test — every chapter of the class stays on the map.
  • It will not send your child back through all of an earlier class — only the one idea a lesson needs gets checked.
  • It will not treat a finished step as settled forever — it can come back for a quick recheck if it looks weak or overdue.

Questions parents ask

Before the first step.

Same NCERT chapters, same order the school follows. Steps open one after another in that order. It changes only when a step needs an idea from earlier in the same class that is still weak — then that idea comes first.

The Class 8 lesson runs a few quick questions on the one earlier idea it needs. If it is weak, that idea is taught right there, inside the same lesson. A different question checks it again a few days later.

No. Chapters open one after another, so anything far ahead of where your child is stays locked until the steps before it are finished.

Yes, on the same device and browser — that is saved locally, not to an account yet. Switching devices mid-lesson means starting that lesson again.
