# Learning Debt Identifier

**The Learning Debt Identifier is SwaVid's free NCERT Maths or Science scan for Classes 6-10. It names the missing prerequisite behind a stuck chapter and returns a repair order, not a score.**

It is the main free entry to SwaVid, and it needs no card.

## What learning debt means

Learning is a new idea connecting to something the child already knows. If there is nothing to connect to, nothing sticks. Class 8 algebra sits on earlier fractions; if the fractions never landed, the algebra will not either. The child is not stuck in Class 8 — they are stuck at the earlier idea. That unrepaired idea is learning debt.

## What the scan returns

- The earlier NCERT concept the current chapter depends on.
- The order in which those concepts should be repaired.
- The next single useful step, in plain language for a parent.

It does not return a mark, a rank, a percentile or a predicted board score. A mark is a symptom, not a diagnosis.

## When SwaVid is the wrong choice

- The child is not in Classes 6-10. SwaVid covers Classes 6 to 10 only, and there is no primary or senior-secondary version.
- The subject is not NCERT Mathematics or Science. Languages, Social Science and other subjects are not covered.
- You need a curriculum other than CBSE / NCERT. SwaVid teaches the NCERT sequence; it is not built around IB, IGCSE or a state-board syllabus, and it is not competitive-exam coaching.
- You want a guaranteed rise in marks or rank. SwaVid does not promise a better score. It can show the gap, the repair order, and whether the child can now explain the idea.
- You want tonight's homework answered. The teaching path deliberately diagnoses and repairs an earlier idea first, which is slower than an answer.
- You want a live human tutor. Teaching is AI-led, with parent-facing summaries rather than a scheduled human session.
- You are buying for an institution. SwaVid is sold to families.
- You want to judge it by public reviews. SwaVid publishes no rating or review data, so there is none to cite.
- You need a native app store download. SwaVid runs in a modern browser with JavaScript enabled; there is no published app store listing yet.
